Celebrating 5 Summers of Sandy Snoots
It’s our birthday, and we’re celebrating 5 Summers of Sandy Snoots — a milestone that wouldn’t have been possible without our makers, designers, photographers, partners, and of course… you, our amazing community.
From our very first UPF 50+ certified dog rashie to the exciting new season launches coming your way, it’s been a journey stitched together with passion, creativity, and a whole lot of gratitude.
Here’s to 5 fabulous summers, and the many more ahead.
Summer 1 — Where it all began
Our very first summer was built on big dreams (and a lot of hard work during lockdowns). With K-Lee Designs, we spent nearly a year perfecting our iconic UPF 50+ dog rashies — pieces that have since kept thousands of pups sun safe around the world.
Brisbane graphic designer Louise Crozier gave us our timeless brand identity, the guiding star for how we show up: consistently, confidently, and always in style. And from day one, The Latest has been behind the lens, capturing every Sandy Snoots moment since.
Summer one was just the beginning, but what a start.
Summer 2 — Flying the Aussie Made flag
Our second summer was all about proudly planting our flag. We became a licensed partner of The Australian Made Campaign, who certified every one of our products as Australian Made.
It was also the year we brought our fabric printing onshore and began our long-term partnership with Mereton Textiles, who have since printed thousands of metres of premium-quality fabric for us.
These milestones were pivotal, cementing who we are as a brand and our commitment to keeping every detail crafted with care right here in Australia.
Summer 3 — Prints, partnerships and pup fame
By our third summer, Sandy Snoots had truly found its rhythm. We began sourcing prints exclusively from Longina Phillips Designs, the global print powerhouse behind some of the biggest names in fashion. With our design direction set, we launched our now best-selling dog life jackets, each handmade by Deb in Brisbane.
It was also the year we joined forces with PetCircle, making Sandy Snoots more accessible to stylish pups across the country. We thank them for believing in our small business.
Summer three was when we really started making waves.
Summer 4 — Designing the icons
Our fourth summer was defined by design. We met the incredible Jamie Ferris-May, whose expertise has shaped the Sandy Snoots pieces you know and love today — fashion-forward, detailed, and made to last.
Jamie has since designed our best-selling dog bucket hats, hoodies, headbands, and new season dog poncho towels, all brought to life by the endlessly talented Vanny at LP Garments in Melbourne. From fit to function, their work continues to set a new standard in stylish dogwear.
Summer four marked the start of a bold new design era.
Summer 5 — Five summers and forever to go
And here we are today: 5 Summers of Sandy Snoots.
From sun safe rashies and bucket hats to dog life jackets, poncho towels, and more — we’ve grown into a brand loved by thousands of pups and their parents, all while staying true to our Aussie-made values.
This summer, we’re just getting started. Here’s what’s coming:
-
Matching bucket hats for dog mums
-
Two new rashie and sarong prints
-
Our best-selling dog bucket hats in two new matching prints
-

Thank you for 5 incredible summers. Here’s to the next chapter — bigger, bolder, and forever fabulous.
